Professional, Friendly and Award-winning dog grooming

I definitely followed in my Grandad’s footsteps, as he adored them just as much. I find it interesting to learn the history of pedigree dog breeds and embrace and welcome the many new breeds that we see today.

I gained my Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma in August 2020 at the fabulous FURST CLASS LOUNGE - Professional Grooming Salon in Chesterfield, it really was a dream come true for me.

We have two dogs: a Sprocker spaniel called Pippa, who enjoys snuggling on the sofa, but loves nothing more than going on long walks with her ball. Our other dog is Alfonso, an Italian Spinone. I show him at a championship level and have qualified him for Crufts every year that we’ve had him so far. I’d always dreamt of being on the green carpet at the biggest dog show in the world, and I am very thankful that Alfonso has helped me to achieve that.

With both of our dogs being gundog breeds I really enjoy taking part in gundog training regularly and have taken Pippa on some local shoots. I find it rewarding for both myself and my dogs when I allow them to use their natural abilities and instincts to do what they were bred for. In addition, I also attend ringcraft classes with Alfonso weekly and compete in championship pedigree dog shows as much as possible.

I am always keen to learn new grooming techniques and further my education within the industry to become the best groomer that I can and to keep up to date with the grooming world. I take part in seminars and competitions both in person and online on a quarterly basis, I am proud to say that I am now an award winning groomer after being awarded 1st place, 3rd place and overall group winner.
